I would guess that 35-40 mph would be a reasonable guess. However, in a tight pack, you may expect somewhat higher speeds. There's no way you would ever find me in a pack on a hill like that. I like to see where i'm going. I went down it this year standing fairly upright and catching all the wind I could. If I had to guess, I would estimate my speed at well under 30 mph. My poor old skates would probably have wobbled off my feet if I had been going 35. It's been my experience that skaters tend to exagerate both speed and distance.
