Rules of the Road

Private Vehicles are not allowed on the Athens to Atlanta route so please don’t ask. Maps and directions for alternate routes, which intersect the skate route at frequent intervals, will be available so drivers may meet their skaters along the route. Drivers must obey all laws. Authorities will ticket drivers for traffic violations.

Helmets and wrist protection are required.

All skaters must carry personal identification with them during the skate.

No Poles, roller-skies, motor-assistance, bicycles or pets.

All though police monitor most major intersections along the entire route; all obligations as a bicyclist or driver still apply:

Back brakes strongly recommended. You must be able to stop at stop signs and red lights.
Skate on the right hand side of the road, and pass on the left.

More Rules and Guidlines will be shared at the 'Mandatory Skaters and Drivers Meeting' on Saturday, October 23rd at 6:00pm.
